If you haven’t already heard, Qantas launched the longest flight in the world from Sydney back in 2014. Not surprisingly, the destination they chose to land their longest flight was none other than our favorite airport, Dallas-Fort Worth International, located right in our own backyard. At just under 17 hours, this 8,578 mile flight has held the distinction as the longest flight in the world for two years, but in very recent news, Qatar Airlines is apparently planning to shatter the Qantas record with a flight from Auckland to Doha traveling over 9,000 miles and lasting over 18 hours! If you ask us, 17 hours is plenty long enough!
